No language other than hjlish, kwok Yu,
Cantonese, Chinese or Portuguese shall be taught
to any clase without the previous approval of
the Director.
In all schools admiting Chinese pupils,
adequate provision shall be made for giving
instruction in Chinese language and literature,
All Chinele pupils in Class 2 are required to
take the paper in Chinese rt the School Cepti--
ficate Examination, unless specially exempted by
the Director. ithout such special exemption
Chinese pupils who will not be in a position
to offer Chinoce as a subject in this examination
shall not be admitted to a Gront-in-id School.
Physical Training shall form part of the
curriculum in all schools, and shall be practised
in all classes throughout the school year for
not less than 80 minutes per week. THE
Supervisor of Physical Education shall advise
regarding the syllabus to be followed.
Instruction in practical hygiene with
special relation to local conditions shall form
part of the curriculum in all schools.
Provision shall be made in the curriculum
for the teaching of Art, Handwork and Music or
Singing, except in special circumstances and
with the approval of the Director.
Infant Classes and Standards shell be
recognized only if they partake of the nature
of "Kindergarten" and are suitably equipped
and taught as such.
(1) In every school there must be a time-table
